TEAM: Working on PayRup was a team effort, bringing design and development together to build a smooth digital payment experience. Our Design Team, lead by Praveen Prabhakar, included two UX designers and a graphic designer who shaped the platform’s visual identity. In the development team, Anandhan Suruli and Raju Gopal Singh Hari and along with six backend developers and four frontend developers, worked together to build a smooth and secure transaction experience. My role focused on wallet flow, including transaction history, add money, and withdrawal processes, along with refining key interactions across the website. Every detail was designed to enhance user convenience, making digital payments effortless and rewarding.

CHALLENGE: Our initial test of the platform revealed navigation problems that made it hard to use. People had trouble locating important features like topping up their phones or paying bills, which left them annoyed. The difficulty in accessing these services slowed things down making it less user-friendly. The wallet and payment system also needed work. At first, users found it hard to add funds or check how much money they had. The steps weren't clear causing more people to give up. As for the mobile app, it didn't work as as we'd hoped. Finding deals and key services wasn't as easy as it should have been, which hurt the overall experience for users.

SOLUTION: We talked a lot and tried different things to fix the navigation problem. In the end, we decided on a sticky navigation bar. This gave users easy access to important services at all times, which made their experience much better. We changed the homepage layout to make offers stand out more. Once we settled on the wireframe, we put offers in key spots with eye-catching images. This made them more noticeable and got more users involved. For the wallet feature, we stuck to the Product Requirements Document (PRD) and made changes based on tests. We went through several versions to make the process simpler, so users could check their balance and move money without hassle. On the mobile app front, we did a lot of research on how users interact with it. We worked with the dev team to improve navigation and how offers work, which led to a smoother easier-to-use app.

RESULT: After development, we discussed the issues and bugs identified during testing, such as navigation inefficiencies, overlooked offers, and wallet flow complexity. With the fixes in place, we are now ready to proceed with the next version of the website, aligning improvements with sprint goals for further refinements and optimizations.
